Colonial Hall

"The stagger-lease plan, by which expirations are spread out over various months in the year rather than set for a single month, is being used with success in the suburban apartments of Kew Gardens, according to apartment house owners of that community. The plan is intended to overcome the inconveniences and delays usually experienced by tenants and landlords when most of the leases expire on the traditional date, Oct. 1. In some houses in Kew Gardens, a survey of owners indicated, there are as many as 50% of the leases drawn for expiration dates other than Oct. 1."
