This pastoral scene is a colorized version of a circa 1907 sepia print.  It shows an area north of today's Metropolitan Avenue and west of Lefferts Boulevard near Grenfell Street.  The road in the distance is probably the old Hillside Avenue (not the one we know today) which roughly tracked today's Park Lane South and Onslow Place..
