Round Robin Map of Kew Gardens (1929) (Courtesy of Roger Sabo)  Page 21 of 27
  • In the left hand image, here is an advertisement for Hendricks & Barton from the 1929 Kew Forest School Yearbook.
  • In the right hand image, "Dr. Kelley" is a physician named Linwood M. Kelley, listed in a 1922 - 23 Kew Gardens Directory at 120 Mowbray Place.
  • "Braun" is Dr. Jacob Braun listed in that same directory at 103 Newbold Place (82nd Road).
  • "Meise" could have something to do with Helene Meise who, according to that directory, lived at 16 Abingdon Road. Nothing to indicate why she should be remembered more than the rest of us.
  • The musical reference to "Berumen" is to Ernesto Berumen, a mexican pianist who lived at 54 Richmond Hill Avenue (today's 83rd Avenue). He eventually made it into the 1930 New York Social Bluebook.
