Looking east on Austin Street toward Lefferts Boulevard. The 2 story Tudor building is on the right. Directly across the street on the left is the 10 story Mowbray Apartment House. Most of the witnesses lived there. After the first attack on Austin Street, Kitty Genovese made her way along the parking lot side of the 2 story Tudor building to the rear of the building offscreen to the right.
