The West Virginia Apartments (today called the Austin Arms) face Austin Street on the west side of the Long Island Railroad parking lot. Witnesses, Samuel Koshkin and his wife lived on the 6th floor. From their Austin Street window, Samuel Koshkin saw the attacker back his car onto a side street after the first attack. From the window facing the parking lot, Koshkin and his wife watched Kitty make her way around to the rear of the 2 story Tudor Building. However, their vantage points did not allow them to see the attacks on Austin Street or in the hallway of the 2 story Tudor Building.
