North of old Maple Grove Cemetery was the Maple Hill Farm owned by Timothy Jackson. It was purchased by August M�ller who made it into Maple Hill Park - the Park's main attraction being no fewer than 7 saloons. M�ller had a house on today's Kew Gardens Road and 83rd Avenue which he operated as one of the saloons. The Park had a beer garden and picnic grounds which drew Sunday visitors from New York City.
